Meet the Team
Simon Mumby
Hi, I’m Simon and I am a TLCC trustee. I am a family man most of all, working in the building industry. I Loved growing up in Laceby and am really passionate about trying to maintain the community feel Laceby has always had.
Seeing everyone at our events smiling, laughing and chatting is why I am involved ! Our aim is to continue its growth and try create a space that children and adults alike can enjoy.
Mike Hall
Hi, I’m Mike the Treasurer for the TLCC. I’m a qualified accountant by trade and have lived in the village since 2018 but have played football in the village from being 10 years old!
It’s great to see how far we’ve come from a village meeting in the Laceby Teapot, to being sat around my dining table brainstorming how we could get this off the ground, to now having a fully refurbished pavilion!
Bob Barford
Hello, I’m Bob.
I’m a local resident, Trustee, as well as a Village Councillor.
I’m especially keen to preserve our village assets such as what we have at Butt Lane Playing Fields.
Having been a resident of Laceby for a number of years and a lifelong Lincolnshire lad, I am eager to see it keep its community spirit and committed to local issues and the further development of our public facilities.
Steve Hanton
Hello, I’m Steve and I’m a TLCC Trustee. I started volunteering a few years ago whilst at football training on a Saturday morning and I have somehow been there ever since.
It’s great to see the progress the TLCC and volunteers have made with the pavilion, which has been a great transformation and an asset to the village community as a whole, with some great events being organised for all ages.
Hannah Hurton
Hello everyone! My name is Hannah an I’m the safeguarding Lead for the Community Collective. I’m a Forest School Childminder in the village and have worked with children for over 20 years.
I joined the Laceby Collective as a Trustee a couple of years ago. I feel very proud of what we have achieved so far and I’m even more excited to see what else we can offer for Laceby residents in the future!
Rachael McWilliam
Hi I’m Rachel the Secretary for TLCC, I’ve been a Laceby resident for 18 years, I’m also a member of the Laceby Allotment Society and I care very much about our village and community.
I began my creative career as an Artistic Blacksmith which involved working on community projects around the country. I then worked as an Arts Development Officer for the local council and Lincs Inspire for over 12 years, where I made my connection and supported the work of local community organisation East Marsh United, before joining the team in 2023.
I am now the Creativity Lead for EMU. It’s Mike’s fault that I got involved with the Community Collective, as I knew him through my role as Grimsby Sunday Football League Secretary, which I held for 20 years, and he wondered if I’d like another secretarial role! So here I am and very proud of what we’ve achieved so far.
Roy Patchett
Hello! I’m Roy and I’m a trustee with the LCC, I retired five years ago and I was approached to be a trustee, i think our team has done a tremendous job so far and I think the village as a whole can see the progress we are making .
Leigh Lacy
Hi, I’m Leigh,
I recently became a trustee of the Laceby Collective, and I’m proud to bring both my local roots and my tech expertise to the role. I’m a resident of the village and a business owner with businesses in the tech and jobs industries.
It’s been amazing to be part of the Collective’s journey so far, and I can’t wait to see the progress we’ll make together in the years ahead.
