We’d like to kick this post off with a very warm Happy New Year to you all. From all of the trustees at The Laceby Community Collective, we wish you all the best for this year.
We’re super excited for what’s in store in 2023 and there is so much for you all to look forward to.
So without further ado, let’s see what you can expect from us this year.
The Community Asset Transfer is almost complete
Since the start of The Laceby Community Collective nearly 3 years ago, our main aim has always been to transfer the sports pavilion and playing field into our possession through an asset transfer.
We’re very close to agreeing on the terms with NELC and that will see this become a reality, with a 125-year lease very close to being completed, subject to legalities.
The signing of the lease will see the transfer of the pavilion from NELC over to The Laceby Community Collective allowing us to get started on the renovation works that the pavilion so desperately needs.

As many of you are aware, the sports pavilion requires an awful lot of work to get it back to a usable standard.
We have big plans for the renovations and are excited to get the work started.
Subject to the lease being agreed upon, we are hoping to get started with the renovations as early as the first quarter of 2023, so watch this space.

There are plenty of events planned for 2023 for you to look forward to
After the amazing Jubilee event last summer and the Christmas Market event we held in December, we’re delighted to be bringing you even more events this year to get you in the party mood!
We’ve been thrilled with the responses from all of you regarding the previous events and we’re taking on board your feedback to make future events even more special for you all.
We’ll keep you informed in advance of what’s going on so you don’t need to worry about missing a thing – we can’t wait to see you all down at the pavilion for plenty of fun (hopefully in the sun!)
